Mbate Juliette is a Facebook user. She recently posted three photos with regards to the ongoing crises in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. One of the photos caught my attention. It reminded me of when Cameroon's speaker of the National Assembly Cavayé Yéguié Djibril recently referred to the social media in Cameroon as Boko Haram. I did not pay particular attention to his statement because most of those politicians of the old generation are unaware of the unavoidable significance of social media in today's drive to a global village.
The iconographic document in my opinion vividly describes the level of democracy in Cameroon. It highlights the difference between what liberty and freedom means in the French speaking and English speaking areas of Cameroon respectively.
