65 years old André Mama Fouda is Cameroon's Minister of Public Health since 2007. A Civil Engineer by profession, a member of the ruling CPDM party and a Catholic Christian.
A less popular minister who became unusually popular in 2016 after the dead of Alvine Monique Koumate and twins at the Douala based Laquintinie Hospital.
Per Monique's family and popular reactions, the pregnant woman died on 12 March 2016 as a result of negligence by medical personnel of the above mentioned hospital. To add pepper in a wounded eye, minister Andre Mama Fouda addressed the tragedy which had gained international attention in a few hours by controversially stating that the pregnant woman died before reaching the hospital.
As the ongoing teachers and lawyers strike in the Northwest and Southwest regions keeps the Biya's regime on it's knees, Medical personnel syndicate has declared a nationwide strike as from tomorrow Monday 16 January 2017. The strike which is not in anyway linked to the teachers/lawyers strike promises to be 'deadly' as these are men considered to be God the creator's closest aids when it comes to human life.
Why are the Doctors striking?
Medical Drs have condemned the poor classification of health personnel and have called for the harmonisation of retirement ages in their field among others.
The strike in it's first phase starts tomorrow.
What's the impact of the strike?
Patients will not be attended to in all public hospitals in the country and there will be no removal of corpses from these hospitals from Thursday 19 January to Friday 20 January 2017.
In last weeks meeting between Mama Fouda and leaders of the syndicate, the minister was furious. In a video that I personally watched, Mama Fouda said "faire comme les autres" implying that the Doctors should follow the example of striking teachers and lawyers.
What's wrong with this government?
The government has a common slogan which "we thank the Head of State." The slogan is championed by Minister Issa Tchiroma of the Ministry of Communication. Mr Tchiroma thanks the head of state every time.
To answer to the above question, my answers are deceit and hypocrisy.
Mr Issa Tchiroma is the government's spokesman so he's in a better position to be used as a good example to demonstrate what I term deceit and hypocrisy.
NB: What I'm about to write is the last thing Minister Laurent Esso and Issa Tchiroma will ever like to read.
In 2010 renowned journalist died. Bibi Ngota of Cameroun Express died in arbitrary detention on 22 April 2016 because of torture. His crime was to have questioned the then grey haired Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, Laurent Esso and the SNH translucent activities.
In a cover-up press conference by the Government's spokesman, Minister Tchiroma said that Bibi Ngota died of HIV/AIDS not torture. At the OSLO FREEDOM FORUM, Lapiro de Mbanga called for the the sanctioning of Tchiroma for deformation of character.
The rational question is; was Bibi Ngota arrested for being HIV positive or for hitting the target by questioning the dubious activities of the Secretary General at the Presidency?
In a "south-south" information system, the Cameroon Radio and Television(CRTV) is in my opinion a propaganda tool to popularise deceit and hypocrisy. Social Media, Take Over!

Dear Francophone Schoolmates, Bamenda is too big to be called "un village"
It's a common thing for a francophone to say that "tu pas au village?" when he or she hears that one is going to Bamenda for holidays. This may be because many anglophones usually say that they come from Bamenda even when they are from Nwa. Far from that, very few francophones who have never been to Bamenda sometimes underestimated the greatness of this capital city of the North West Region, Cameroon.
If you ask me to make a demographic and beauty classification of the ten regions of Cameroon, Bamenda will be third behind Douala and Yaoundé.
In terms of political will, courage and strength, I'll place Bamenda on the second spot. Mr Biya once said that Bamenda is his second home. Other politicians know the impact of Bamenda thanks to the emergence of the strongest political opposition party( Ni John Fru Ndi's SDF Party in the early 1990s) to the now 34 years old Biya's lion seizure of the political terrain of Cameroon.
Local artists such as Petit Pays and Longue Longue cannot record an album without mentioning Bamenda. In responds to the corrupt nature of the country, Longue Longue in one of his song lyrics wrote that Bamenda make wuna no leave me, because if wuna leave me white man go kill me. The late music icon Kotto Bass sang Yes Bamenda because he believed in the strength of the sons and daughters of the city.
For God's sake Bamenda has a City Council not a Municipal Council.
Dear francophone brothers and sisters, be wise.
Hey mothers, body no be firewood. Lol
